Bicy Station
Easy rental of city bikes for sustainable exploration of the surroundings. Register via the MICycle app. The annual fee is €20, and bikes can be used for up to 14 hours per week.Stations are located throughout the city and by the lake.
Pesje Railway Station
The nearest railway station to Velenje Beach is Pesje. From there, it’s just a short walk to Lake Velenje – a convenient option for visitors arriving in Velenje without a car.

Secure Bicycle Storage
For carefree cycling trips, a secure bike storage facility with enclosed boxes is available. These boxes also provide charging options for electric bikes and scooters.Access is managed via the Kaluu app.
Štrekna Bus Stop
A special bus with a trailer for 16 bicycles connects Velenje with Dravograd and Labot (Austria). It operates daily in July and August, and on weekends in September. The service is intended primarily for cyclists who wish to explore the Štrekna route, one of the most beautiful cycling trails in Slovenia.

TIC Vista
The Vista Tourist Information Center is the main hub for visitors to Velenje Beach and the Šaleška Valley. Here you can find all the information about events, attractions, and guided tours, as well as rent bicycles and purchase local souvenirs. It is open in July and August from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Vista Pier

Vista Viewing Platform
The Vista viewing platform captivates with its unique design – breathtaking views can be reached by walking up the rooftop of the large stage, rising 14 meters high.A slightly steeper ramp leads to the platform, offering an interesting and distinctive experience on the way up.
Mastodon Children’s Playground
The modern playground next to Vista is named after the mastodon fossils discovered in the Šaleška Valley.
Pozoj Children’s Playground
The childrens playground was named after the local legend of the dragon Pozoj and is located in the immediate vicinity of Vista.
Contemporary Mastodon Sculptures
The majestic sculptures of the mastodon and the anancus tell the story of prehistoric animals whose remains were discovered right here in the Šaleška Valley. The fossil remains, found in Škale in 1964, are preserved at the Velenje Museum, where you can also see a life-sized reconstruction of the anancus.
Velenje Beach
The Velenje Beach is a modern and sustainably developed shoreline of Lake Velenje, combining relaxation, sports, and culinary experiences. Visitors can enjoy sunshades and loungers, a water park, a dog beach, a campsite, sports fields, restaurants, and numerous events. The beach is accessible to all generations, including people with reduced mobility, and offers a safe environment for families.
Water Park
At the inflatable water park, one of the largest in Slovenia, you’ll find slides, climbing walls, and plenty of fun challenges for all generations. Dog Beach
At Velenje Beach, four-legged friends are also welcome – a special area for dog swimmers is arranged near the main beach.
Camp Velenje
On the shore of Lake Velenje lies Camp Velenje – a popular choice for those seeking relaxation in the embrace of nature. Located right next to Velenje Beach, the camp offers the perfect setting for summer indulgence, sports activities, and pleasant evenings by the water. A new beach volleyball court is also available.

Zoo station
If you want to experience the lake in an active way, visit Zoo Station. Here you can rent a SUP and a surfboard. Boards are available in various sizes, suitable for children, beginners, and experienced athletes alike. Stand-up paddling is suitable for everyone, and their experienced instructors will make sure you enjoy the sport in a safe and fun way.

Tennis Courts
Velenje offers plenty of sports activities by the lake. Both outdoor and indoor tennis courts are available. Opening hours: 8:00–13:00 and 16:00–22:00. Prices: outdoor courts €8–16/hour, indoor courts at the White Hall €12–20/hour (depending on the time slot).
