Velenje – Dobrna Circular Cycling Route

A picturesque circular route connecting Velenje Beach, the Šalek Valley, and Dobrna. The route combines relaxed cycling, cultural points of interest, and local cuisine.

Suggested Route

1. Velenje Beach
   A pleasant start by the lake, where you can take a walk, refresh, or warm up before the ride. The beach is a popular starting point for many recreational routes.
2. TIC Velenje
   We recommend the first stop at the Tourist Information Center (TIC) Velenje. Here you can get maps, event information, and local tips.
3. Na Hofu
   A warm welcome, friendly people, and culinary delights. An excellent place for a snack and a relaxing break before continuing.
4. Lamperček Homestead
   Near Vinska Gora you will find an enclosure with more than 100 animals: red deer, hinds, fallow deer, and mouflon. A true natural attraction, popular with families and photography enthusiasts.
5. Dobrna
   A visit to the town center or the thermal spa adds variety to the trip. A short refreshment stop is recommended before returning.
6. Gonžarjeva Peč
   An impressive climbing crag with one of the more demanding via ferratas in Slovenia (D/E). Intended for experienced climbers; cyclists can admire it from below as a natural landmark.
7. Tuševo Tourist Farm
   An excellent stop to taste local dishes and experience authentic farm life. Advance reservation is required.
