The cycling connection through the Mislinja Valley, Štrekna, is popular among locals in Carinthia and beyond and is considered one of the best-maintained cycling routes in Slovenia. This year, the Štrekna bus connects Velenje, the Mislinja and Drava valleys, and Labot (Lavamünd) on the Austrian side.

In the summer heat, a cool dip in Velenje Lake is just the thing, so this season the first return service will again run directly to the lake, and the afternoon service will start from the lake. The full timetable is available at https://strekna.si/strekna-bus/.

The Štrekna bus is a 30-seat coach with a trailer for sixteen bikes. It runs every day from 1. 7. to 31. 8. 2025 and on Saturdays and Sundays between 6. and 28. 9. 2025. You’ll find it operating on the route between Velenje and Dravograd, even all the way to the bathing lake in Labot (Lavamünd) on the Austrian side.
